Explore Historic New Orleans During AAA 2025+HearTECH Expo

  • AAA Conference

New Orleans, known for its rich history and vibrant atmosphere, is the perfect spot for what’s sure to be another exciting AAA Conference. Arrive a few days early or stay after to take advantage of the scenic destinations throughout the week. Read on for some can’t-miss activities when visiting New Orleans in March.

Visit the French Quarter

The heart of New Orleans, the French Quarter, is a historic district brimming with colonial architecture, lively music, and eclectic shops. Only a short drive away from the convention center, take a walk down Bourbon Street to soak in the vibrant nightlife, or visit Royal Street for art galleries and antique shops. Don’t forget to admire the stunning St. Louis Cathedral in Jackson Square.

Enjoy the Local Cuisine

New Orleans is renowned for its unique culinary offerings. Take time before and after educational sessions to try classic dishes like gumbo, jambalaya, and crawfish étouffée. For a sweet treat, stop by Café du Monde for their famous beignets and chicory coffee. If you have time for a more leisurely meal, consider dining at one of the city’s renowned restaurants like Commander’s Palace or Galatoire’s.

Experience Live Music

Known as the birthplace of jazz, New Orleans boasts a vibrant music scene. Head to Frenchmen Street for a more laid-back but equally vibrant alternative to Bourbon Street. Here, you’ll find an array of bars and clubs featuring live jazz, blues, and brass bands. The Spotted Cat Music Club and Snug Harbor are popular spots to enjoy local talent.

Explore the Garden District

For a change of pace, visit the Garden District, known for its well-preserved antebellum mansions and lush gardens. Take a guided walking tour to learn about the area’s history and architecture. Magazine Street, which runs through the district, offers a variety of boutique shops, cafes, and restaurants.

Save the Date for New Orleans…Audiology for Your Soul! Join us for AAA 2025+HearTECH Expo, March 26-29. Registration opens November 4 for Academy members.
