Charge Description
Strategic Objective: Achieve appropriate payment of all audiology services to ensure conditions supporting members to practice at the top of their scope of practice.
- Facilitate identification of and advancement of legislative and regulatory priorities for the Academy.
- Coordinate efforts to strategically modernize reimbursement and payment policies to support audiology practice.
- Assess organizational support of federal and state policy initiatives to advance the audiology profession.
- Proactively identify issues likely to affect audiology and collaborate with other councils to ensure necessary resources are in place in advance of the need to successfully achieve legislative and regulatory priorities.
- Develop and implement a strategy to engage members and other stakeholders to advance identified priorities.
- Recommend position papers or clinical practice guidelines that would advance Academy strategic priorities.
