What are your clinical interests?
I am a clinical audiologist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cochlear and vestibular pathologies. We created one of the largest centers for dizziness in south Texas and work with some of the biggest names in the field of audiology.

What do you love most about your job?
I am blessed to have the opportunity to impact people’s lives on a daily basis through the application of my knowledge. I invest in my personal, professional, and staff development in order to provide the best services. I love having the ability to educate my patients anywhere from hearing loss, tinnitus, dizziness, and/or cognitive overload.

What’s a project you’re working on right now? Why is it meaningful to you?
We are currently in the process of developing a multi-specialty medical center to expand our vision of humanizing the health-care industry. Our goal is to treat each patient with the highest quality of care while maintaining a sense of belonging.

How has your career benefited from being a member of the Academy?
Through the Academy, I’ve had the opportunity to network and learn from a variety of leaders within our field. Leaders who have turned into mentors and I continue to learn from.

Any tips or advice for new members on how to best leverage their Academy membership?
It’s like anything, the more you use it, the more you get something out of it. Maximize your membership by attending as many events as able. Most members are open to networking with you—build long-lasting relationships.

Where is your hometown?
I am from a very small town in Mexico called Anahuac. I migrated to the United States when I was 12 years old.

If you could bring back one TV show that was canceled, which one would you bring back?

Dragon Ball Z! I loved that show!

What are you reading or listening to at the moment?

I am currently investing a lot of time in my personal development. Due to the business plans that I have, I want to be a better servant for my fast-growing staff as well as for my community!

Best vacation you have ever been on?

I love nature, so it has to be Alaska! My wife and I took a cruise to explore glaciers and it was a magical experience.

Who is your hero, and why?

My heros? That’s easy –my parents. They left everything behind in Mexico to offer us a better opportunity in the United States. Their hard work and sacrifice paid off for my brother and me.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?

If I could have a superpower, I would love to fly to explore the world and other planets.
