What is the New Professional Pathway Program?
The Academy’s New Professional Pathway Program assists graduating national SAA members with transitioning their student membership in national SAA to new professional membership in the Academy. When current national SAA members graduate with their first doctoral degree in audiology, the Academy will automatically transition their membership to new professional membership when renewals are run for the upcoming membership year.
How Does It Work?
Participating in the New Professional Pathway Program is easy. Follow the steps below and your membership will seamlessly transfer from national SAA membership to new professional membership in the Academy the year you graduate.
As part of the New Professional Pathway Program, the Academy also offers new professional members a membership dues discount the three years following graduation with their first doctoral degree in audiology.
Year of Graduation | Membership Dues for 2025 | |
First Year After Graduation | 2024 | $120/ $10 per month* |
Second Year After Graduation | 2023 | $210/ $17.50 per month* |
Third Year After Graduation | 2022 | $280/ $23.33 per month* |
Not a current national SAA Member?
Nonmembers can take advantage of the New Professional Pathway Program by applying for Fellow membership. Past national SAA members should log in to their member dashboard using their past student Academy username and password. Brand new members can create an account.
Once logged in, or for brand new members, an account is created, click on the “Become a Member” button and proceed to the application page. Choose Fellow for the Membership Type and then in the subsequent drop-down field, choose the corresponding Fellow Type based on the year you graduated with your first doctoral degree in audiology.
