Meagan Bachmann, AuD, MHL, ABA Certified, CISC, CH-AP, is the director of audiology for Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where her areas of clinical focus and interest include cochlear implants, promoting evidenced based practice, collaborative culture, and professional issues.

Dr. Bachmann received her AuD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her Cochlear Implant Specialty Certification from the American Board of Audiology. More recently, she completed a master’s in healthcare leadership from the School of Medicine at Wake Forest University and a certificate in telehealth from Wake Forest University School of Law.

Dr. Bachmann has had many previous state and national service positions including serving as a founding member of the North Carolina Audiology Association, president of the North Carolina Audiology Association and conference chair for both the NC Audiology Association and NC Speech Language Hearing Association. She is a past chair of the American Board of Audiology Board of Governors, Professional Education and Certificate Committee, and Academic and Professional Standards Council. She previously served on the American Academy of Audiology Foundation and Audiology Assistants Task Force. Dr. Bachmann is a member of the Hearing Healthcare Collaborative, a national group of hearing-related professionals dedicated to thinking through the tough issues that create barriers to care.
