Stephanie Demian, MPH

As the Academy’s director of guidelines and strategic documents, I facilitate volunteer working groups, devoting their time and expertise, to inform colleagues, patients, and the public on evidenced-based care in audiology. Working with association writing groups throughout my career developing guidelines, position statements, consensus documents, has allowed me to support phenomenal volunteers translate research into practice. These critical documents help individuals and communities access accurate information to make informed decisions about their health.

At the Academy, my focus is to create the infrastructure and support necessary for Academy volunteers to author these critical documents as well as to disseminate the information to patients and providers to improve the understanding and impact hearing and balance has on everyday life.
