Why would one want to intentionally cause stress? The answer is simple to consider but can be difficult to consistently execute. In light of daily stressors that are out of our control, the idea of intentionally adding stress to our lives may seem overwhelming initially. Pleasure-seeking activities, such as television, social media, snacking, or having a few drinks to unwind, are often touted as self-care.
