Hello and happy autumn! Here in Arizona, we are enjoying the return of the cooler weather. With this change of seasons, I am pleased to begin my term as chair of the American Board of Audiology (ABA). I look forward to a productive year of encouraging excellence in audiology through the work we do with certificate and certification programs.
The ABA Board is pleased to welcome Erin Adkins, AuD, and Dana McCray, AuD, for new three-year terms, as well as Vienet Sharpe, USAF, AuD, who is returning for a second three-year term. Sandra Gabbard, PhD, also remains on the board to complete a term following another board member’s resignation. Caryn McClellan, AuD, recently completed her term on the Board, and we thank her for her years of dedication, expertise, and thoughtful contribution.
Rebecca Lewis, AuD, PhD, remains on the Board as the immediate past chair, and deserves acknowledgement for her steady stewardship as Chair this past year. Carrie Meyer, AuD, has assumed the position of chair-elect. With this renewed team, we look forward to continued work to support new initiatives during the 2023–2024 year ahead.
