AAA 2024+Hear TECH Expo is complete and the continuing education opportunities were remarkable!
For ABA certificants, here are CEU requirements at a glance:
Certified Credential | Total CEUs | Tier 1 | Professional Ethics |
American Board of Audiology Certified (ABAC) – every year | 20 | 5 | 1 |
Cochlear Implant Specialty Certification (CISC) – every three years | 60 (30 in cochlear implants) | 15 | 3 |
Pediatric Audiology Specialty Certification (PASC) – every three years | 60 (30 in pediatrics) | 15 | 3 |

Any programs that have been approved by the Academy will be reported back to the Academy if you provide your Academy web ID number when registering. This applies to non-members, as well, and it will be to your benefit in the event your required continuing education is audited.
Additional options for Tier 1 credit include:
- Authorship of a publication (up to 0.3 Tier 1 credits)
- College or university courses
- Teaching activities
- Leadership activities
See pages 13–14 in the ABA Certified Candidate Handbook for additional options for approved continued education that can be self-reported through your online user dashboard.
